ANCIENT MEW — 2000
In 2000, Pokémon: The Movie 2000 introduced audiences to an ancient mystery. Distributed during the theatrical release, Ancient Mew was unlike any Pokémon card collectors had seen before. Its shimmering holographic surface, mysterious symbols, and unusual design made it feel like an artifact discovered from a forgotten civilization.

For countless young collectors, deciphering its strange writing became as fascinating as the card itself. More than two decades later, Ancient Mew remains one of the most recognizable promotional cards from Pokémon's earliest years.
